Collaborative Mural Group
Collaborative Mural Group
Create, Connect, and Leave Your Mark
This unique art therapy group invites participants to work together to design and paint a mural for our movement and play space. Through the creative process, group members will have opportunities to build relationships, practice communication skills, navigate challenges, and experience the satisfaction of contributing to something larger than themselves.
As each participant adds their own ideas, strengths, and creativity, the group will work together to create a lasting piece of art that reflects the power of community, collaboration, and belonging.
The group is facilitated by a Registered Art Therapist and a Clinical Social Worker, who will support both the creative process and the social-emotional growth that naturally emerges when creating art together.
What to Expect
Over seven weekly sessions, participants will collaborate to plan, design, and paint a mural as a team. Along the way, group members will have opportunities to practice:
- Collaboration and teamwork
- Social communication skills

- Flexible thinking
- Problem-solving
- Perspective-taking and empathy
- Conflict resolution
- Self-expression
- Confidence and mastery
- Respecting boundaries and shared spaces
- Building connection, belonging, and community
No artistic experience is required. The focus is on participation, creativity, and the shared experience of creating together rather than artistic skill.
